About Kevin
Hello everyone! I’m Kevin Lundell, a longtime community leader and a proud life-long Ogden resident. With deep roots in the community and a track record of civic engagement, I’m running for Ogden City Council with a bold vision for an Ogden government that invests in its people and reflects the care and compassion of its residents.
My core values are reflected in the roles I fulfill in my daily life with my family and our community:
Baseball Coach
Coaching my son’s baseball team is truly a dad's dream come true. Every nine and ten-year-old player on our baseball team knows the three rules of baseball. 1) Have fun, 2) Respect teammates/opponents, coaches, and umpires, 3) Always try your hardest. All 12 kids on the team embody these rules on the field. But more importantly, I hope they live by these rules as future leaders in our community because developing quality humans is more important than developing quality baseball players.
Theater Dad
This world is new to me. I’ve always loved the theater, especially musicals, but standing on a stage while singing and dancing seems terrifying! So, watching my usually shy and introverted daughter get up on stage, come out of her shell, and put her all into a performance always brings tears to my eyes. These kids work their guts out, often not getting home until 11 pm the week before a performance. They work together, develop friendships, and ultimately accomplish something extraordinary.
Business Owner
Ten years ago, Jessie and I opened two new small businesses on the same day. We sold our house, put every dime of equity into the businesses, and dumped money on credit cards to make it happen. We were all in; there was no backup plan, we had to succeed. With our whole hearts, we set about creating a community at our CrossFit gym that would make a lasting impact on people's lives and a chiropractic clinic where I could serve patients daily by helping them find health. Ten years later, I’m still serving those patients at the clinic, and the gym community is alive and well under new ownership. My entire professional career has been about service towards others.
Avid Trail User
“Look at this place! Can you believe we live here?” Anytime I rode my bike with my late friend and legendary Ogdenite, Scott Trudeau, he would remind me of the world-class trails and mountains in our backyard. Being from Texas, he never took them for granted and passed that love, passion, and gratitude onto anyone he rode with. Spending time in the mountains brings me joy, happiness, and meaningful connection with friends.
